Kajeet, a managed enterprise IoT provider, has entered into a partnership with Cisco to integrate its Sentinel platform with Cisco’s cellular gateways and mobility services platform. This collaboration, deemed a "strategic partnership," aims to enhance Cisco's managed wireless solutions by leveraging Kajeet's expertise in IoT management.
Although described as "initiated discussions," the partnership appears to be solidified, with both parties emphasizing the potential of the alliance. Initial efforts will focus on integrating Cisco’s Meraki platform with Kajeet’s Sentinel platform, with plans for future advancements in cellular backup and failover, internet access for electric vehicle charging stations, and secure onboard Wi-Fi for school buses.
The collaboration aims to deliver innovative end-to-end services, leveraging Kajeet's Sentinel platform and Cisco’s full range of mobility services, including IoT Control Center services. Integration with Cisco’s Meraki platform will provide a unified management experience for both Wi-Fi and cellular devices.
