Alain Ruinet was appointed as the new Head of Sales and Program Delivery for the Asia-Pacific region. He took up his duties on 1 September 2024 and will be based in Singapore. He was previously Head of Bid Management for Public Safety and Security since 2021. In his new responsibilities, he will focus on the strategy to further develop a very promising region.

Alain has extensive knowledge of the APAC region where he has already worked for 6 years in Singapore and China in his previous tenure. For instance, he proudly contributed to the deployment of critical communications during the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. He has broad experience in Engineering, Programme Management, Business Development and Strategy at MBDA and Airbus Defence and Space, both in Public Safety and Security and in other programme units which are part of the Connected Intelligence business line.

As the critical communications ecosystem is currently changing, Alain Ruinet is convinced that Public Safety and Security needs an approach which combines expertise in telecommunications and security together with knowledge of the customer operations. In such a highly competitive region like APAC, it is necessary to build and consolidate trust from key customers and stakeholders, and enhance long-term partnerships.

In September and October, he visited Public Safety and Security offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, China, South Korea and Mongolia to get to know our customers, stakeholders, channel partners and of course the teams.
