Smelt Europe and Rohill received the order for the delivery of a new TETRA network from the TT Circuit Assen, The Netherlands. The circuit hosts since 1925 the Dutch TT and celebrates in 2025 it’s 100-year anniversary.

The delivery is scheduled to be finalized at the beginning of 2026 resulting in enhanced security, improved operational capabilities and readiness for their main events such as TT Assen, Superbike World Championship and British Superbikes.

The future TETRA network, based on Rohill’s advanced TetraNode infrastructure, delivers critical communication services for the marshals, rescue crews and supporting staff at this well-known Dutch racing circuit.

• Infrastructure: The network will be based on Rohill's advanced TetraNode infrastructure, which uses a flat, node-based IP network architecture designed for flexibility and scalability.

• Purpose: The primary goal is to enhance security and improve operational capabilities and readiness for major events held at the circuit, such as the TT Assen, the Superbike World Championship, and British Superbikes.

• Features: The system will deliver secure and reliable voice and data capabilities, which are essential for mission-critical communications in high-stakes environments. It will support features like fast call setup times, group calls, emergency calls, and secure encryption to prevent eavesdropping.

• Partnership: The project is a collaboration between Smelt Europe, a Dutch radio communication company responsible for implementation, and Rohill, which is supplying the core TETRA equipment and expertise.
