SafetyNet is heading to Hamilton for the National Lifeline Utilities Forum 2026, joining infrastructure and resilience leaders from across New Zealand to showcase the Public Safety Network and collectively share insights, and discuss strengthening the future of emergency-grade communications.

SafetyNet will join infrastructure and utility leaders, emergency management professionals and resilience specialists from across New Zealand at the National Lifeline Utilities Forum 2026, taking place at Claudelands Events Centre in Hamilton on 10 and 11 November.

The annual forum brings together organisations responsible for the services New Zealanders rely on every day, including telecommunications, energy, transport, water, emergency management and other critical infrastructure sectors. Discussions will focus on strengthening resilience, managing infrastructure interdependencies and improving preparedness for future emergencies and disruptions.

SafetyNet will have a strong presence throughout the event, including SafetyNet Board member and international critical communications expert TJ Kennedy presenting on the topic of Emergency-Grade Communications for a Riskier World. The session will explore international approaches to strengthening critical communications infrastructure and examine how New Zealand's Public Safety Network is supporting resilient communications for public safety and emergency management organisations.

Chief Executive Steve Ferguson will also present on Public Safety Network Cellular Services: Creating more resilient and reliable coverage for the wider sector.

The forum provides an opportunity for SafetyNet to share insights, listen and learn from the wider emergency management sector and continue conversations with organisations looking to strengthen their communications resilience.
