Quixoticity-EU, a leading French consultancy firm specializing in critical communications, is proud to announce its official membership with Public Safety Communication Europe (PSCE). This strategic collaboration marks a significant step forward in advancing public safety communication initiatives across Europe, particularly as PSCE leads the charge on pivotal programs such as the European Commission's EUCCS Preparation.
“Becoming a full member of PSCE is both an honor and a responsibility,” said Peter Clemons, Founder of Quixoticity-EU. “At a time of critical challenges for Europe, we are committed to actively supporting PSCE’s mission to shape the future of public safety communications.”
The announcement follows Quixoticity-EU’s long-standing involvement in the global critical communications sector. Peter has been engaged in European and international critical communications since 1996 and has participated in numerous PSCE conferences, dating back to the 2010 Amsterdam event. Now, having established Quixoticity-EU in France in 2020 to maintain close engagement with European affairs, this membership marks a natural progression in its efforts to contribute to the sector’s evolution.
PSCE plays a central role in the European Critical Communications System (EUCCS) Preparation programme, a landmark initiative driving the future of mission-critical communication infrastructure across the continent. In 2024, contractors from 15 national authorities awarded contracts to four industry consortia led by Airbus Public Safety and Security, Leonardo, Frequentis, and Teltronic. These consortia are actively developing real-world 3GPP MCX solutions for eight initial countries, with further interconnections planned over the coming years.
The EUCCS initiative, in collaboration with the Mission Critical Communication Expert Group (MCCG) and DG HOME, aims to establish a fully operational continent-wide critical communications network by 2030. Recent global and regional events have underscored the urgency and importance of this mission.
Quixoticity-EU’s membership announcement comes at a particularly active time for the critical communications industry. Ongoing ETSI MCX Plugtests are currently underway at Texas A&M University, where leading industry players are advancing eMBMS multicast solutions.
As Quixoticity-EU embarks on this new chapter with PSCE, the firm remains dedicated to fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence in public safety communications.
