The Réseau Radio du Futur (RRF – Radio Network of the Future) is set to transform critical communications in France, relying on key technological components provided by the Direction interministérielle du numérique (DINUM – Interministerial Directorate for Digital Affairs) and the Direction de la Transformation du numérique (DTNUM – Directorate for Digital Transformation). In a demonstration of their shared commitment, key stakeholders convened to assess the project’s progress and discuss the next steps toward its nationwide implementation.

The visit, held at ACMOSS headquarters, provided an in-depth look at the RRF’s core functionalities and innovations through three key sessions:

  • Project Update: A review of the RRF’s current status as it nears operational readiness for user deployment.

  • Technology Demonstrations: Live presentations showcasing critical communication components, including SYRIUS, ATRIA, and Direct Mode, alongside insights from the Innovation Hub.

  • Operations Control Center Tour: A comprehensive overview of infrastructure monitoring tools, cybersecurity resilience measures, and rapid-response mechanisms to ensure network robustness during major crises or large-scale events.

DINUM and DTNUM, as developers of vital digital services such as La Suite (including Tchap, Resana, and France Transfert), highlighted the seamless integration of their tools within the SYRIUS application environment. This integration ensures that emergency responders, security forces, and healthcare professionals have uninterrupted access to essential digital solutions.

The meeting reinforced the importance of collaboration between DINUM, DTNUM, and ACMOSS in strengthening interoperability between digital infrastructures. By aligning their efforts, these organizations are driving the successful adoption of the RRF across government services, ensuring enhanced connectivity and security for mission-critical operations.

On March 19, 2025, Ms. Stéphanie Schaer, Director of DINUM, led a delegation comprising Mr. Jérémie Vallet (Deputy Director, Audit, Consulting, and Expertise), Mr. Guy Duplaquet (Head of Infrastructure and Operated Services), Mr. Florian Delezenne (Interministerial Product Operator), and Mr. Christophe Vercelonne (Deputy Director of Digital Transformation), representing Mr. Mathieu Weill, Director of DTNUM. Together, they explored ACMOSS’s facilities and engaged in discussions on the integration of interministerial digital services within the RRF.

A key focus of these discussions was the contribution of DINUM’s digital components to the RRF, as well as the critical role of close coordination between network supervision centers (NOC, SOC) to safeguard the resilience and security of public safety communications.

This collaborative initiative underscores a shared commitment to modernizing public-sector communications and ensuring the success of the RRF as a cornerstone of France’s digital transformation strategy.
