The 3rd Annual Australian Beyond 5G Connectivity Summit, hosted by the Connectivity Innovation Network (CIN) at the University of Technology Sydney, recently convened industry leaders, experts, and innovators from across Australia and the world. Representing Telco, Chief Customer Officer Rania Wannous and Chief Digital & Technology Officer James Pickens brought forward key insights and discussions pivotal to the future of telecommunications.

On the opening day, Rania Wannous moderated a dynamic panel discussion titled "Challenges to Emergency Communications and Solutions on the Horizon," where she facilitated an engaging exchange of ideas and strategies addressing critical issues facing emergency communications today.

James Pickens commenced the second day with a keynote presentation, emphasizing the significance of ubiquitous connectivity for communities and emergency services beyond 5G, highlighting its essential role in supporting future-ready infrastructure.

The summit delved deeply into the impact of artificial intelligence on telecommunications networks of the future, as well as advancements in antenna solutions for 5G and 6G. Participants explored academic insights and pioneering research, all contributing to the evolution of connectivity technology.

Launched in 2021, the CIN—an initiative by the NSW Government through the Office of the NSW Chief Scientist & Engineer, in collaboration with Telco—continues to foster collaboration, pushing the boundaries of innovation in telecommunications. Telco looks forward to supporting CIN’s vision and contributing to the advancements in this rapidly transforming landscape.
