Tait Communications has unveiled the TP9900, a robust portable radio designed to revolutionize communication among public safety and community organizations, fostering swift and efficient coordination for safer communities.

The TP9900 bridges communication gaps between various entities, including law enforcement, first responders, schools, universities, airports, highway control, utilities, and public transport providers. It caters to the diverse radio standards prevalent in North America and the Asia Pacific region, accommodating both P25 and DMR digital standards, alongside analog, to ensure seamless interoperability.

Addressing the challenge of disparate radio frequencies, the TP9900 empowers users to communicate effortlessly across different user groups and agencies. With its multiprotocol, multiband capabilities, it offers a versatile solution for communication needs, enabling users to access a wide spectrum of radio frequencies.

Bob Shepheard, Tait Communications Product Manager, emphasized the user-friendly design of the TP9900, allowing for easy switching between protocols and frequencies. Users can focus on selecting the appropriate channels for specific user groups or scenarios, without the need to navigate complex frequency settings.

Moreover, the TP9900 boasts advanced features such as Over-The-Air-Programming (OTAP) and Over-The-Air-Rekeying (OTAR) for encryption management, enhancing security and operational efficiency. It is configurable to operate across various spectrum bands, including VHF, UHF, and 700/800MHz and 900MHz, providing flexibility to adapt to diverse communication environments.

The TP9900 is currently showcased at IWCE 2024 in Orlando, Florida, from March 27-28, offering attendees a firsthand look at its groundbreaking capabilities. It is slated for release in mid-2024, promising to revolutionize communication dynamics for public safety and community organizations alike.
