POCSTARS, a world-leading Push-to-talk over Cellular (PoC) communications solution provider, has kept the momentum to upgrade its products and services and released a series of new features across its PoC platform. These new features are to further ease of use and increase work efficiency for the users.

POCSTARS has added a new feature “Address List” to its dispatch console; the list consists of members from the organization's different departments and managerial levels. In addition to creating a temporary group by ticking members of the Group List, dispatchers can now rapidly create a temporary group by ticking members from different departments and levels in the “Address List”, making it more convenient and efficient to dispatch.

Another new feature, Online/Offline Name Search and Select, is also available at the dispatch console. The dispatcher can do fuzzy search for user or account name by alphabets. For example, by query “d”, you will get all the relevant names of users or groups such as “Derick” or “Drivers”. If there is no relevant result, it will ask you to try another query. It doesn’t matter whether the user is online or offline, when you do the search.

For the Android Application Package (APK), users can activate the Silence Mode when necessary, e.g., if you want to focus on some work or meeting without distraction. With this feature turned on, your terminal disconnects all the individual calls and doesn’t show the alert of call invites.

Geo-fences are created by the dispatcher on the map. Once a member leave or enters the Geo-fences, the dispatch console map will make an alert and display the relevant information of the users. With the help of Geo-fences, dispatcher can learn whether a member is working within the designated area or not. POCSTARS dispatch console is capable of creating up to 15 Geo-fences now. This great new feature further enhances communication efficiency & safety for users.
