The progressing digitalisation in the economy and in the public sector calls for secure, highly-available and customised communications solutions. Especially private 5G campus networks are increasing in importance in this context. PMRExpo, the leading European trade fair for Secure Communications, is reacting to these requirements and expanding its offering in the field of private 5G campus networks. With the new "5G Hub for Private Networks" special area and a focus on the first day of the PMRExpo Summit, the trade fair offers a comprehensive overview of the performance features of 5G technology as well as the optimisation potential for companies, authorities and organisations provided by private 5G campus networks

At PMRExpo, visitors receive practical insights into current and future possibilities for the use of private 5G campus networks. They have the possibility to inform themselves about synergies between products, applications and participants in the growing 5G ecosystem and to exchange ideas with leading companies.

5G ecosystems at the PMRExpo Summit
On the first day of the PMRExpo Summit, the focus this year is on the theme of private 5G campus networks. Premium experts from the economy, science and public administration illuminate the chances and challenges of technology from various perspectives. They illustrate the entire journey from a vision to a functioning 5G campus network – from the initial idea to complete realisation. Covered here, among other topics, are the themes of regulatory basic conditions and compliance, security, dos and dont's for implementation as well as edge computing, IoT sensor technology and virtualisation with cloud solutions as the driving force behind private 5G campus networks.

On the subsequent days of the PMRExpo Summit, the focus will be on BOS, KRITIS and control centres.

New special area: 5G Hub for Private Networks
The setup, the establishing and the operation of a 5G infrastructure presumes the interaction of various participants: these include manufacturers, integrators and companies or the cooperation with the authorities that legislate the regulations and specifications for the use of 5G. Precisely this cooperative approach is illustrated by the new special area "5G-Hub for Private Networks" at this year's expo. Leading companies and organisations that are already successfully using private 5G campus networks present their use cases. They share valuable experiences and demonstrate the advantages and diverse possibilities for the use of private 5G campus networks in realistic miniature models and demonstrations.PMRExpo: 26-28 November 2024, Cologne
