Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI) has won two major awards at Australia’s peak international design awards, Good Design Australia.

A global leader in public safety and enterprise security, Motorola Solutions earned the latest awards for its mobile-first approach to innovation, delivering critical insights from across multiple systems and sources to frontline personnel so they can manage any incident from the field.

PSCore: A smart public safety mobile application platform that improves productivity, incident awareness and safety for frontline officers. The solution integrates seamlessly with multiple public safety systems and simplifies officers’ workflows by providing access to critical incident details via a single, intuitive interface. PSCore is also the world’s first public safety application to operate on Apple CarPlay and is used by more than 6,000 officers at Western Australia Police to respond to a collective 84,000 incidents per month.

L6Q licence plate reader camera: A quickly deployable and easy-to-use licence plate reader camera that provides sophisticated licence plate recognition (LPR) data for public safety agencies and businesses. The camera can rapidly scan vehicle licence plates in a variety of weather and lighting conditions. With access to industry-leading analytics, the L6Q solution can also help to uncover valuable insights including vehicle associations and predictions of future vehicle locations.

The latest awards extend Motorola Solutions’ glittering run of Good Design Australia Awards to 17 in the past three years. Over that time, Motorola Solutions has won awards from across its entire integrated portfolio of mission-critical voice communications, video security & access control and command centre and frontline mobility software solutions.

Motorola Solutions vice president and managing director for Australia and New Zealand, Con Balaskas, said the winning innovations were inspired by the company’s goal of helping frontline personnel to make better informed and safer decisions wherever they are.

“Every day, first responders and frontline workers face unpredictable and complex events and threats that require them to think and react quickly while keeping themselves and everyone around them safe,” Balaskas said.

“These awards are recognition for our mission to help them reach higher levels of performance by placing the most critical data and insights at their fingertips,” he said.
