London, UK - Mar 4, 2024 - Caltta Technologies, a leading provider of critical communication solutions, continues to foster strategic collaborations with industry partners to deliver enhanced value to global customers. Recently, a prominent aviation company in the UK deployed a Caltta ECS (Enhanced Conventional System) to elevate its communication capabilities and work efficiency.

In partnership with JustCom Distribution, Caltta's UK & Ireland distributor, and M.R.S. Communications, based in Cardiff, facilitated the deployment by engaging with the aviation company to assess its existing two-way radio communication framework.

During initial discussions, the facilities manager expressed concerns about the outdated analog system that had become non-operational. Recognizing the imperative of an upgrade to ensure safety and security across their extensive property, the company sought modern digital radio communication solutions.

The aviation company's business involves commercial jet engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul, and maintaining the highest standards of health and safety across its premises is paramount. With a sprawling site spanning over 1.2 million square feet of workshop area and nearly 950 staff, effective communication is essential for seamless operations.

In the collaborative planning phase, it became evident that the company required a diverse range of dedicated communication channels for various teams, including security, cleaning, management, and a universal emergency response option with priority access. Recognizing future scalability needs, the Caltta ECS trunking system emerged as the ideal solution. Engineered to facilitate shared use of multiple conventional radio channels at a single location, the ECS system optimizes channel balance and utilization.

The facilities manager expressed particular interest in the Caltta PH660 and PH600 series two-way radios for their compact size, durability, and long-lasting batteries. To ensure comprehensive coverage across the expansive site, the installation included multiple Caltta PR900 repeaters interconnected via microwave links.

Following the successful implementation, the system garnered positive feedback, prompting discussions on integrating additional channels to enhance reliable and efficient communication across different departments.
