The theme this year – Making the Toughest Times Better – reflects the reality of today’s business environment. Two years of a global pandemic have taken a toll on both our professional and personal lives. During this period, IWCE has zigged and then zagged, adapting to the conditions in order to do what they have done so well for the past 45 years – bring the critical communications community together to learn, to strengthen bonds and to highlight the latest equipment and technologies which keeps our organizations and businesses ahead of the curve.
Caplan said:Throughout these ups and downs, we knew we had to lead. We were the first in the industry to present a fresh and unique online event in 2020 featuring a very different look and feel (and levels of engagement) from the standard “virtual event.” In 2021, as Delta surged and others abandoned the idea of having a successful in-person event, our attendees experienced a great learning and networking show both live and online.
As we prepare for IWCE 2022, we continue to lead in creating a show that minimizes risks to our attendees, speakers and exhibitors. While all indications are the current Omicron variant will ease significantly by March, we are putting into place the measures necessary to ensure you can participate with confidence. Attendees are urged to get vaccinated. To obtain a badge, attendees will be required to present proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test taken within 72-hours for admittance. Masking will be required for all indoor activities. Additionally, we urge all IWCE attendees to get boosters prior to attending our event. Certainly, we will continue to monitor both the CDC and Las Vegas/Nevada public health guidance as we get closer to IWCE and will continue to adapt and communicate any changes accordingly. With these measures, we are confident we will offer an environment where attendees can feel comfortable and safe.
IWCE is an essential business event and we know it can make or break a year for many small and midsize companies. These companies are signing up daily to take part and thought leaders throughout the industry are urging us to move forward with an in-person show. As we are putting the conference together, we are working through the 200+ topic submissions to finalize the robust conference program.
