For public safety agencies and critical infrastructure organizations, mission-critical networks are the foundation of digital transformation. These networks must deliver whatever the situation and therefore require advanced communication capabilities. Together with service providers, Ericsson enables this digital transformation by providing high-performing, resilient, and secure mobile broadband communication services built on 3GPP 4G and 5G technology.
Critical Communications World is the leading global event for the mission-critical communications industry, representing sectors such as public safety, utilities, and rail. The event takes place in different regions of the world from year to year, and this year, it will be in Dubai.
The theme for TCCA´s CCW 2024 is “Securing society and industry – connection is the lifeline”, and we’ll be there between May 14 and 16 to showcase our mission-critical networks and solutions designed to deliver whatever the situation.
Our demos will present innovative solutions for providing high-performing, resilient, and secure connectivity to government, public safety, and critical infrastructure organizations.
At Ericsson’s booth, visitors will be able to see interactive demos ranging from the solution enabling a continuity service for users moving in and out of network coverage areas, to a power grid monitoring solution helping reduce the threat of wildfire and a use case demonstrating how differentiated connectivity enables better emergency medical services.
One of the demos to highlight is Digital Airspace, which showcases our latest air-ground-air network solution. This solution enables extended coverage of airspace with connectivity for drones, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and helicopters. This solution provides rescue and critical infrastructure inspection teams with secure and reliable connectivity for their operations, enabling them to gain better situational awareness and conduct remote maintenance safely.
Another one is a smart grid monitoring demo utilizing low-latency 5G to reduce the threat of wildfire by de-energizing a falling power line before it hits the ground and causes a fire, potentially saving lives and property.
