A new international airport under development in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India will deploy a unified radio communication solution with DAMM high-capacity BS418 base stations at its core.  In partnership with Consort Digital, the complete offering consists of DAMM BS418 base stations, CONSORT’s MCX ONE Core Enterprise Server, MCX ONE Dispatch Center, MCX ONE Interworking Gateway and MCX ONE Mobile Application.

Noida International Airport, also known as Jewar International Airport, is an upcoming international airport being constructed on a 1334-hectare greenfield site near Jewar in the Gautam Buddha Nagar District, Uttar Pradesh in India, and will serve the National Capital Region (NCR).  Once completed, it will be an alternative to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi by relieving its high and rising traffic load and is planned to be India's largest airport.

Designed to be India’s most hi-tech, contemporary airport, the focus is on systems that deliver real autonomy to airport operations and which support the aim for zero net carbon emissions.  The mission-critical communication solution based on DAMM technology was an obvious choice for the developers to enhance the safety of all passengers and staff, and maximise operational efficiency. The DAMM solution offers  a unique distributed architecture and inherent scalability for high-capacity and coverage, together with reliable performance. The system is thus providing a future-proof mission-critical radio communication network to effortlessly meet all current operational needs, as well asthe airports future capacity plans.

The airport’s first phase will deliver capacity for 12 million annual passengers and is expected to be fully commissioned by 2024.  This will then be increased in stages, to 30 million people and two runways in 2031, 50 million passenger capacity in 2036 and a 70 million passenger capacity with six runways by 2040. It will become the largest airport in Asia and the fourth largest in the world when all six runways are constructed.
