BK Technologies Corporation (NYSE American: BKTI) has announced the reception of two purchase orders from the United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service (USFS), totaling 5,620 BKR 5000 radios. These orders are part of BK Technologies' ongoing five-year blanket purchase agreement (BPA) with the USFS, which was initially disclosed in May 2021. Since the migration from BK Technologies' KNG Portable Series radio began in June 2021, the USFS has procured over 22,000 BKR 5000 radios.

John Suzuki, CEO of BK Technologies, expressed satisfaction in supporting the USDA Forest Service's efforts in implementing lifecycle replacements of their portable communication technology. He emphasized the long-standing partnership with the USFS and highlighted the selection of the BKR 5000 radio as a testament to its reliability and performance across various forestry operations.

Moreover, Suzuki noted that several state agencies across the United States, such as the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and the Washington Department of Natural Resources, have initiated similar lifecycle replacement programs to upgrade to BKR Series radios. Additionally, federal agencies like The Bureau of Land Management and the National Park Service have undertaken comparable replacement initiatives.

The United States Forest Service, an agency under the U.S. Department of Agriculture, oversees the management of 154 national forests and 20 national grasslands, covering a total of 193 million acres of land. BK Technologies looks forward to further collaboration with the USFS as they continue to enhance their communication platform.
