AstaZero announced the successful completion of the world's first testing for 3GPP-based Mission Critical Services (MCS), meeting the newly announced Global Certification Forum (GCF) certification criteria. This milestone signifies a major advancement in secure and reliable communication technologies for mission-critical operations.

The new GCF test criteria include compliance with the 3GPP standard for mission-critical push-to-talk services. These tests were conducted in accordance with the criteria set by the Global Certification Forum (GCF) and the TCCA-Critical Communications Association. This achievement is a significant step forward in ensuring uninterrupted and secure communication for essential services such as police forces, ambulance services, fire brigades, and other critical organizations.

The world's first certification test fulfilling the new GCF and TCCA criteria for 3GPP-based MCS conformance was conducted at RISE’s ISO 17025 accredited Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) chambers in Borås, Sweden. The new conformance test and certification criteria ensure that 3GPP-based MCS critical communication systems are interoperable, reliable, and secure.

Paul Halle Zahl Pedersen, Senior Vice President at RISE, commented on the achievement: "This world-first certification test is a testament to our commitment to advancing technology standards. We are honored to set new benchmarks for standards in the Mission Critical Services domain and contribute to a safer society through our testing and verification capabilities."
